Goal

The goal of IFIP International Conference on Network and Parallel Computing (NPC 2008) is to establish an international forum for engineers and scientists to present their excellent ideas and experiences in all system fields of network and parallel computing.

Introduction

NPC 2008 hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, will be held from October 18 to 20, 2008 in Shanghai, which is located along the coast of the East China Sea and the southern banks of the mouth of the Yangtze River, is a city under the direct jurisdiction of the Central Government. Covering an area of 5,800 square kilometers (2,239 square miles), Shanghai has a population of 18.7 million, including 2 million floating population. It is the largest metropolis in China and one of the most historically significant cities.
